Duxford Air Show

We lived in a little town nearby, Royston. We would see the aeroplanes and helicopters practicing for weeks before every show. They would fly over our house. It's easy to take it for granted and be nonchalant about things when you live so close, and we certainly did. 

Our son is an air cadet and was desperate to attend an air show, as Duxford is an hour away, we decided to book tickets. The show is well managed, and there is plenty to see and do! We were astonished by the typhoon display, the noise was intense! I'm not ashamed to say I nearly cried when it flew overhead! Thrilling and terrifying all at the same time. 

We had a fantastic day, this has inspired some Aeronautical patterns for sure!
